Researchers at a university in Sweden have discovered that men and women who were aged 40-80 and owned dogs for over 12 years had a lower risk of death from cardiovascular disease! Also, they were at far less of a risk of death from other causes. Another major benefit observed was for people who live alone. People who live with dogs have a 33% reduced risk of death and 11% less chance of developing cardiovascular disease than those who lived alone without a dog.
